TRENTON NICHOLAS
UAF' 22

Trenton Nicholas is currently a Senior at Morris Jeff High School in New Orleans. He is an aspiring rapper and producer, and has been an Upbeat student-artist since 2018. He spends his summers in California where he works as an engineer in his father's recording studio.

JASMINE JENEÉ WILLIAMS
UAF '20

Jasmine Jeneé Williams is a Senior at Edna Karr High School. She is a rapper who records over her own original beats and recently performed as an opener for Anderson .Paak'sband The Free Nationals. Jasmine gained early admittance to Dillard University where she will pursue a degree in Music Industry Studies.

TRUNKS SIMS
UAF '20

Trunks Sims is a Senior and started at Upbeat Academy in 2017. He used his experience at Upbeat to gain admittance to the esteemed New Orleans Center for Creative Arts (NOCCA) where he studies Media Arts. He is one-half of the duo Trench Brothers.

RODNEY WEBBER
UAF '19

Rodney Webber is a Junior Media Arts student at NOCCA who started at Upbeat Academy in 2018. He is one-half of the duo the Trench Brothers with Trunks Sims. They both rap and make their own beats and co-founded NOCCA's Media Arts Fest.

YAHAIRA "YAYA" RODRIGUEZ
UAF '21

Yahaira "YaYa" Rodriguez is a Senior at the NET Charter high school. She is a rapper who prides herself as being "better than the boys," and has been an Upbeat Student Artist for two years. She recently completed enough music to release her first EP in November 2020

ANDREW LATHAM
UAF '22

Andrew Latham is a Junior at Holy Cross High School. He started at Upbeat Academy as a 7th grader at Audubon Charter Elementary. We have seen him grow from a reserved young kid who only wanted to make beats to a strong young man who now raps and sings over his original compositions

ISHMAEL RAOOF
UAF '22

Ishmael Raoof is a Senior at Morris Jeff High School. He started at Upbeat Academy in the Spring of 2018 with a basic knowledge of FL Studios, and has since mastered it and moved on to Ableton Live 10. He is a great young man, star student with fire tracks, and a frequent collaborator with his friend and Upbeat classmate, Trenton Nicholas.

ASTRID SIMS
UAF '22

Astrid Sims is a Media Arts Sophomore at NOCCA and started at Upbeat Academy her 8th grade year in 2018. She is adept at the piano, violin, beatmaking, and recently shifted her focus to animation and writing/directing her own short films.

DESTIN ARIS
UAF '22

Destin Aris is a sophomore at New Harmony High School. He joined Upbeat Academy in the fall of his Freshman year. He is soft-spoken, but his passion and his music are anything but. He is one of our newest and most dedicated students, and he hasn't missed a class since joining.
